These groups were selected based on how well they performed in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League from 2020 to 2023. The two remaining teams will be chosen based on the results of the ongoing World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe.
Each team will face the other once during the round-robin portion of the competition. The top four teams will then advance to the semifinals, where the winners will play in the championship game. On October 8 in Chennai, India will play its opening game of the competition against the reigning champions, Australia. After that, there will be games against Qualifier 1, South Africa, Qualifier 2, New Zealand, England, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Qualifier Pakistan. On November 19, the tournament’s championship game will take place in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
