India now has 116 rating points, one ahead of Pakistan after the first ODI victory over Australia on Friday 22 Sep 2023. However, to retain the top position India should remain unbeaten in the ongoing ODI series. India might lose the No.1 spot to Pakistan if Australia wins the remaining two games. India and Australia both had the chance to claim the No.1 spot, whereas Australia visited South Africa for 3 ODI, and India played the Assia Cup.
